The Jeweled Jewel — originally conceived by the French product-design duo Anní “n” Camí as a chic, slightly vain, neo–Art Nouveau bracelet, coat, and handbag holder — came into being almost by accident.
It was only upon the realisation that Anne had forgotten her belt one evening, following a brief visit to the restroom, that an idea arose — sudden and electric, like an injection from an ancient Greek daemon. As they were being seated at one of their favourite dinner tables, the pair found themselves indulging the mental image of that forgotten belt hanging sturdily at home. In that instant, they snapped their gazes toward one another and, almost in unison, asked: why should it exist solely to be aesthetically pleasing?

And then — somehow, yet quite inevitably — The Jeweled Jewel was born.
